Dedicated Oil And Gas Academy To Boost North Sea Industry

BRITAIN’S offshore industry is to establish a dedicated “oil and gas academy” as part of a campaign to improve the skills of the workforce and drive up safety standards across the North Sea.

The groundbreaking initiative, welcomed at both Westminster and Holyrood,will also enhance the skills required to tackle the platform maintenance backlog highlighted by the Health and Safety Executive earlier this week.
